Anatomy collection is an extension of the human body. Furniture is usually considered a part of
the decorative arts but the blurring line between the disciplines of art and design opens furniture to the art category. Rotatable face lamps, the talking/ listening chair, casted ears as wall sculptures and trinkets, human feet as budvases, this collection explores the beauty of the human body as functional art objects. A Dali chair is not a comfortable chair for “a chair may serve many uses, though not necessarily that of sitting down”. Our anatomy collection explores a surreal sense of reality. Reimagine human anatomy as functional home decor objects. It is a fine blend between sculptural art and functional objects. Dipped and rendered in high gloss metal finishes. these objects are dreamy, unusual and exciting.
In our collections we have worked with various materials like marble, wood, terracotta, concrete and metal. We let the character of the material drive the aesthetic and appeal of the collection. It often starts with material explorations, developing swatches and techniques and once we finalise the look, the collection centres around creating forms.
